Hi everyone! Ended up with a Linksys WMP54G. Now the chart says it's
Airport native but it is not that I can see. I am not sure of its
version, nothing on the box said and I forgot to check System
Profiler.

Doing a google on that model led me to an Apple support discussions
page which had a link to a "WirelessUtilityCardbusPCI" program. This
does work fine but it's a little hokey in the sense that it opens on
each boot and shows you the wireless networks you can hook up to. For
this user I'd like to have it a little more transparent, but hey, the
card is working, it seems to be strong and it wasn't too expensive.

Thanks for all the links and ebay tips. I may end up taking my time
and getting one for myself in the future. For this we needed it right
away.

We ended up with a Digital Audio machine, DP533, 768mb of RAM for $60
plus the wireless card and Tiger. Perfect to get someone up and
running on the net with minimal cost. The fun part of setting the
machine up was that it had an Open Firmware password installed which
was a royal PITA to remove.

Thanks again for the help!

Diane
