There should be no change of aspect ratio of items on ths screen. And yes, all new displays are 16:9 which very closely equals the "185" format of theatrical release motion pictures. If you're seeing things "stretched," something is wrong with settings. Like I said, my Samsung played right out of the box at 1680x1050. Make sure that your settings reflect the 16:9 format.
