Hi. I just picked up a used blue and white G3 and I'm trying to use a spare Dell LCD monitor with it. It only works if I plug in the old CRT to the display card first, then unplug it and plug in the LCD. Otherwise it just blinks a little as if trying to display. No problems restoring after sleep state. The card is an ATI Rage 128. I've used PCs since the late 80s and build my own, but never used or opened a Mac before and I'm pretty lost on the insides. I don't seem to find discussions on this so I don't know if it is just my problem or there's a proprietary thing I have to work around or if it is just too old. Any help appreciated.
