I also have a Blue and White G3, and have connected two different LCDs without problems. The current one is a Samsung that My wife didnèt like on her Gateway, so I swapped the screens. I would suspect some setting in the video card or perhaps a glitch there. (Especially since it works after attaching a CRT monitor. There is probably an impedance difference between the two screen types, but the card should be able to handle that.
