To get the LCD monitor to display, use the CRT monitor to make sure
the refresh rate is set low enough. 60 Hz is the most common by far.
And LCD monitors have a "native" resolution that works better than
other resolutions. You'll need to check the manual for the monitor to
get that exact resolution. For 17" and 19" models, it's usually 1280 x
1024. For 15", it's usually 1024 x 768.

Safari has a setting for how much font smoothing to do, and one of the
settings is supposed to be better for LCD's.
