This sounds more like Intel-heavy software/hardware issues.

More of G3-G4s-on-the-way-out?

Do G3-G4s have the ability for much power management? or the need for  
it?

Wondering if retreating to Tiger 10.4.11 is the way to go for a  
Quicksilver 2002 Dual 1GHz.

Think Time Machine (my main reason for trying Leopard) will continue  
to be upgraded for 10.5 machines, after 10.6 is released?
