I have the manual, I just wanted to see if there were particular settings I should know about. I don't have a lot of experience with hardware firewalls.
It sounds as though I don't need to worry about it. The router does have several ethernet ports. Because DSL is unpopular, it's easy to get a decent used DSL router for cheap, including the Cisco 678. (I'm not using the 678; I'm using a 2Wire 1800HG, since I'm using the wireless feature to connect other computers in the house. I'm running that with WPA, with a key, so I think I'm already safe there, too.) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
