Would you please look at the Console and System Log Files the next
time your returns to life?
There should be some clue in one of those files as to what was
happening then you depressed the restart button.
I once had a similar problem and the Console Log File showed that one
of the PCI - USB cards was generating a constant alert. I removed that
card and everything returned to normal.
