Hello "Nestamicky",
My vote is for the Digital Audio - very solid unit, and takes to
expandability very well. Higher bus speed, faster RAM, higher ATA bus (in
the latter units) and the 4x AGP, of which it is a lot easier to find
upgrade video for (over the Sawtooth). Parts when needed are also
affordable.
My second choice would be the QuickSilver, but only the 2002 version, since
the 2001 is nothing more than a replica of the DA - the 2002 board provides
large drive (> 130Gig) capability, in addition to the above features.
You have to get into a late model MDD (FW800 or beyond) in order to acquire
additional bus speed (167MHz) along with additional CPU speed (OEM) - if you
are looking for an affordable upgrade scheme, avoid the MDD - everything
about those units is expensive!
Just my 2ยข worth,
Best regards,
Dana
