Ah. It really depends on what you can get your hands on.

If you're in an area that has a very wide selection of colleges (Wake
Forest, WSSU, Elon, ECU, WCU, Duke, UNC .. etc)
You can get some nice machines for not very much. I only payed maybe
$65 overall for a dual 500MHz Mystic, maxed ram, 64MB video and
various other sweet trimmings. given the price I could very well
justify an upgrade on the processor or video.

There's a couple flea markets and thrift stores that will get some of
these machines and they have no idea what to do with them. They'll
then sell it for the same price as say an old packard bell and sell
the well known(Dell, Gateway, HP) for a couple hundred.

I have not seen ANY newer stuff though, I think around 2003 the NC
school system stopped buying macs altogether.

What was the question??????

Ah, best G4. I would suggest getting a Mystic motherboard and
power supply. It will fit perfectly in your sawtooth case. and then
you have the option of using any ADC monitors with the right video
card. and then you can upgrade the processor later on.

You will loose the internal Firewire port though.

I apologize for the ranting, shopping in crowded malls and too much
coffee has taken it's toll.

Proud owner of a Mystic Tooth!!!!!! I like Sawteeth!
Bucky.
