Hello Chuck,

If you do a Google search on:

"Your network settings have been changed by another application"

You come up with dozens of hits on websites from Apple to MacFixIt,
as this seems to be a problem affecting many people.

The solution I posted was the one shown on every site I checked.

I cannot personally say anything about the solution I posted, as I
have not tried it myself, but many people on the different sites
said that it worked for them.
