i had a sawtooth g4 shell modified and a sonnett 1 gig processor was installed
and the machine ran well but i couldn't catch up to it. it worked fine and the
apps in it that should have been the only ones in it worked well. I think if
its a sawtooth theres a page on it which seems to be spacifically on powermac
up grades. but if its a yikes then its one step further than the g3 yosimite.
im not sure if the limit is all that the agp board can achive or the newer
versions with a higher board can jack upt further but there does seem to be a
max load the boards can handle and some tweaks need to be done as well for some
upgrade cards.

Has anyone tried the upgrade from XLR8 or Newer Tech? I read about a
1.6 Ghz and a 2.0 Ghz upgrade for my G4 but would love to hear from
people who have tried it. Or should I just save my cash and get a
newer model?

Thanks!
