The 4M's Postscript ROM module was defective and subject to a recall  
by HP. I don't think this was widely known, and I've never seen the  
real replacement module, every one I've seen was the defective one.  
The only difference between a LJ4 and LJ4M is this Postscript module.  
I removed mine to use the slot for RAM. RAM is hard to find for these  
old printers.
