Did you try to drop the speed to 400?  I have a G4/350 that I was able
to run at 400 with no problems, but I have seen some of the upgrade
chips that are rate higher than the chip really is, so I would suggest
seeing if it is actually a 450 or if it's a 400.  Also, it's possible
that it does just have a bad chip.
