Boot camp is installing OSX on non-virtual hardware, just like installing on any PC; if the drivers don't work in some version of the OS , you cannot install it on that system. There are a number of PC's out there now, particularly laptops, that you cannot install SXP on at all, only Vista. Apple's drivers don't work in SP1, only SP2 or better. In fact Vista didn't work right until Apple released updated drivers for it. However the hardware emulated in the VM's like Fusion, Parallels or VirtualBox is a LOT more generic than the actual hardware in the Mac, so the default drivers in all these OS'es work on these virtual machines. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
