The search function is based on Spotlight. Spotlight does NOT actually search your mail - it searches thru an index made previously. If that index is corrupted, then the search fails to work. Spotlight's index is notorious for getting corrupted. The way you fix it is to rebuild the index - which is initiated by those commands I provided. >I guess I will have to find a real live Apple tech person to help me >with this.
