It's true! They also are great for taking scuff marks off Macs. (But not with smooth plastics, like the iMacs) I use them all the time, never use gloves.... not sure why you would need to. It might not work very well on cement, however, which is what I believe he was trying to remove the stain from... You could sure try, however!
