Need a more detailed description. What "exactly" does the error message say, and at "exactly" what point of the boot process does it occur? Could be as simple as a System software issue. Will it Safe boot holding the Shift key at startup? Will it boot a CD or external HD? Has the PRAM/NVRAM been reset to default state?
