I've had a Speedstream 4200 in bridged mode for about 6 months. So far no problems with the modem, though my router (a DLink DIR-628) likes to flake out about once every week or two. I then manually have to disconnect PPPoE and then manually re-establish it. I'm inclined to blame the router rather than the Speedstream.
