My friend has a G4 with a small hard drive that is almost out space.
She does not want an external hard drive and is not ready to upgrade
or add an internal hard drive. She has finally abandoned her last
Classic application and is running 10.4.11.

To free up space, what is the best way to remove Classic and all the
classic applications. Space is very tight - should I be dumping plist
files for her classic applications?

She does have a full bootable clone of her system that I maintain for
her just in case (actually two backups on one my external drives). I
will update her clones immediately prior to any major changes. Clones
are normally updated weekly.

Thanks for your recommendations.

Also, to save space I am considering removing all foreign language
support. I believe the recommended software is Monolingual to
accomplish this. Are there any languages other than English (US
version) that should be maintained?

Thanks for your guidance - Marty

p.s. We have already removed most 3rd party applications that she
does not use (in OSX) but have only removed them from the
applications folder.
