My friends reluctance is purely a cost matter - but I keep pushing.
Within the last year she has already funded the external hard drive
that I maintain for her as a backup and is now finally considering
adding desperately needed RAM.

Unfortunately the needed hard drive will require expert installation
becasue her G4 happens to be a PowerBook and I am reluctant to work on
them.  I'm reluctant to ask questions about that here because that
belongs in a differen LEM list.  My previous question was generic
enough for the G3-G5 list (or at least I hope it was)
