Hello All and Lady Witt, I am wanting to upgrade my children's (my old) G4 MDD 1.25 Dualie, 2 GB RAM, 3 HD, OS10.5.4 to the 1.42 Ghz Dual processors and heat sink.
The buss speed is 167 so I should have had no problems. However, when I swapped the processors, heat sinks (big brass one), pressed the cuda button and then powered up and I got the "boing" but the monitor did not display anything. I tried again and still the same, I then put everything back as it was and it started just fine and is running now. What did I get wrong??
