After running applejack > memtest 3 cycles (all night) ... I attempted
a Restart and it stalled at a blue screen. Stalled was a word in the
log ... I will supply that soon ... I shit down and need to take a
breakfast break this A.M. ...

Would like to throw out another possibility: On my QS 2002 Dual 1GHz /
OS X 10.5.7 ...

Is it possible a failing Zip drive (which I never use) could cause
system Startup problems and freezes?

I hear it click on/off (?) from time to time ... at Startup (which I
assume is normal) ... but I believe I heard the same sound when my
system was freezing up ... spinning beach ball ... mail.app no longer
responding ... attempting to access the Dock causing a kp ... appears
to be like a bad hard drive, but I think its a bad Zip drive
mechanism ...

Is that a possibility?

Can I just disconnect the ATA cable and power cable, and see if that
helps my QS 2002 Dual 1GHz move along?
