That should have read: "how come Jo Hissel says he has it running fine on two of his computers running his powermacs with 10.4.11?" I have no idea why there is so much subject changing or how my post about missing folders turned up in this (for some value of this) thread. If any of it is my fault, sorry. Don't write me off yet. I am not finished in life. Since the change of this group to Google, this is what I do. I get a digest to my Mail.app. 1. I copy the post I want to reply to from the digest in my Mail.app. 2. I hit reply and a reply window comes up. 3. I paste into the body. 4. I alter the To: so it does not go to a no-reply address like "[email protected]" 5. I alter the Subject: so it does not go like "g3-5-list - 9 new messages in 5 topics - digest" 6. I edit the paste to remove unwanted material (sometimes I copy more than is strictly needed in order to grab the subject text which I can then further copy paste in a brilliant sophistication at my step 5 (which I left out out of modesty) 7. Finally I try to reply. But by the time I have come to this crucial and all important step, I am so exhausted that I have to go and lie down with a couple of Bex powders. When recovered I have forgotten what I wanted to say. I want the good old pre-google days back when there was plenty of oil and our cars could be huge and powerful and noisy. Only half-kidding. If anyone knows how to improve above algorithm, don't hesitate to say now! I dislike replying using Google. But maybe it would be easier! <g> -- dorayme --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
