If what you are talking about is a Broadband Card from one of the cell ph 
companies it won't work unless you are running Tiger or higher... I went 
through this about 2 yrs ago when I got one from Sprint and I was running 
Jaguar and this was another reason I got my G4 Powerbook... So unless your 
older desktop is running Tiger it's not going to work and the 400mhz if it's a 
G3 might be too slow for Tiger for you???   CoolKat
