Dual 1.2 is in the DA running 10.4, you pull it out, put it in a AGP. while installing 10.5 in the AGP the cpu overheats you put it back in the DA, update IT to 10.5 and now it only shows one processor. How did you know it was over heating? WHY was it overheating? There should have been no difference between the two systems in the way the upgrade works, so it shouldn't have overheated in the AGP. Were you running it without closing up the computer? I don't know about this upgrade, but did you have to remove the heatsink at anyy time? Perhaps it got put on wrong? Did you look in Activity Monitor like I asked? What does it show? It's very hard to tell, your sequence is this: I did X. I did Y. I did Z. I did AA. Now my CPU doesn't seem to work, what happened? -- Bruce Johnson "Wherever you go, there you are" B.
