SyQuest drivers were included in OS X at least thru 10.3.9 IIRC.

The last SyQuest driver released was SyQuest Utilites 4.01 and that was for OS
7 thru 9. I have a copy if you need it.

Is the ZIP SCSI ID different from the SyQuest ID and is the terminated Zip at
the end of the SCSI chain?

And what about the cabling. The ZIP's I have (100's and 250's) have a 25 pin
connector the old SyQuest's have a 50 pin connector. So, I would recheck the
cable connections for being lose or dirty.

If I have time tomorrow I'll plug in my SyQuest 200 MB drive to my G4 with OS
10.4.11 and see if it still works. I think it should. Those damn old SyQuest 5
1/4 drives seem to last forever. --glen
