Help! Strange problem! I can't enter my password. When I want to install something or need to authenticate, etc. the entry window appears but there is no response from the keyboard, no dots appear, nothing - as if the keyboard weren't attached. Don't know where to start looking for the problem. Details: Mac mini (early 2009), MOS 10.5.8 on a separate partition (OSs on other partitions function normally), partition loaded from another computer with migration assistant or by FireWire (can't remember). Already tried: Disk repair, permissions repair, Disk Warrior, software update, verified Keychain, etc.
