I checked the sites. But it seems like the adapters are the the
reverse of what I need.

Does the connector on the back of your Mac look like this:

<http://www.hostchoice.net/images-help/ADC-CONNECTOR-F.JPG>

or this:

<http://dsnimg.dell.com/images/external/images/Monitor/DVI%20Port.JPG>

Similarly, the connector on the monitor will look like one or the other (unless it's a new one in which case it has an entirely different connector)

If you have to convert from one to the other, in EITHER CASE, these adapters will work, in conjunction with a normal DVI device cable (which has male connectors on both ends)
