I plugged the drive into my MBP Intel and I can write to the drive.
This shouldn't be possible unless you've previously installed the
NTFS software onto your MBP (or you're running Windows on the MBP).
I never installed anything. And I don't have Windows. I do have
Snow Leopard and the MBP is an Intel. It just let me write to it..
Humm... it appears that Snow Leopard added the ability to write to
NTFS without any extra software, but it also appears that this
feature was not fully implemented and requires a slight system
modification to enable this "hidden" feature. If you've never
enabled the hidden NTFS writing feature this would appear to be an
anomaly.
I never did any thing with NTFS that I'm aware of, I stay away from
Winbloze like a plague. Maybe just the presence of the drive enabled it?
