You have some bad Karma here, the Cannon drivers are part of the install. Get 
the GutenPrint 5. The Cannon jumps on the Tiger you don't even need the CD. I 
use Cannon printers because they're so easy to fire up. If you have a CCC of 
the machine do a install and archive it sounds like maybe a system glitch. But 
that's just me.
