Let's see... if the Mac doesn't give any sign of life (so to speak), it
could be a dead power supply or motherboard.

This could be a sign of a burnt power supply.
If you open the Mac (there's a round "handle" on upper right side, just pull
it out), you can visually inspect the power supply: it's not very
"scientific" ;-) but you could see (or smell) sign of burning.

A more expert member might suggest a way to test the power output.

Best thing would be temporarily swap the power supply with a working one...
but I don't think you have one available.
Maybe, if you write your whereabouts, a close List member (with a similar
Mac) might offer his/her help.

I know there are projects on the Net for using an ATX power supply (standard
for PCs, quite cheap) into G4 Macs... I don't know how difficult it could
be.
