I keep setting it to show the weather from Kansas City, MO (I load that on the website it sends you to) but it keeps going back to St. Louis, MO. I an only 45 minutes from KCMO so I want it to stay on that weather. How do I make it do so?

Here's what I'd do, but that's just me...

I'd kill off Dashboard completely, it's too resource hungry for my tastes...

Then install Weatherbug Alert for Mac menu bar item, which can show you the current temperature for somewhere close. It will also alert you to warnings & watches in real time, as they are issued.

For example of close-by stations, for your city of Henrietta, MO 64036 the closest station is Orrick RXI School, followed by Miscellaneous Metals, Carrollton Internet Services and Kearney JHS. One of these is probably a lot closer to your actual weather than something from Kansas City.

Here's a link to Weatherbug Alert for Mac:

If you want to kill Dashboard, here are instructions:

There's also an app called Disable Tiger Features 1.03 which probably works in Leopard also which can disable Dashboard or Spotlight from a GUI app. I wouldn't disable Spotlight, you won't be able to find stuff on your HD. If you don't use Dashboard widgets, but also don't want to disable Dashboard completely, at least close all the open widgets you don't use, they eat resources in background.
