AFAIK, the GF 4 MX is quite lousy. The "real" GeForce 4 cards (not MX) were very good (I know, I still have a GF 4 Titanium 4600 in my G4! It cost 499$ when new! :-), but the MX version was even less powerful than a GeForce 3. :-/ If you're looking for good video performance, I think a GeForce 4 Ti or a Radeon 9800 Pro are amongst the best you can find for a G4. Or, you could ponder flashing a PC video card... http://themacelite.wikidot.com/start (much cheaper, and more exciting :-D ) > *DELL D1025TM:* > > Resolution: 1024 x 768 @ 85 Hz Dell? :-o Never knew Dell made video cards for Mac! > Name: ADPT,2940U2B > > Type: scsi-2 THere's not much SCSI stuff left around... Maybe hard drives, but they're usually small for today terms. You could find good old scanners, even professional ones (people is throwing them away because their new computers has no SCSI port). IIRC, when I updated my OSX to 10.4, I lost the ability to use my Epson SCSI scanner in OSX (it still worked fine in OS9). Hence, I'm not sure about OSX SCSI support... For using in OS9, I think you can still find drivers around the Net. -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
