I gather, from searching online, that this isn't the most cooperative setup,
but apparently it works for some folks. Also, yes, that some adapter cards
are better than others.

Also that Drive Setup may not see these drives, but other utilities may, eg
SCSI Probe (didn't work, nor Mt. Everything, nor FWB mounter)

After failing to get the SCA drive to mount on the internal bus, I switched
over to an external SCSI enclosure connected to the external bus, for which
I have a terminator. This successfuly mounts a different 50 pin SCSI drive,
so I know the enclosure and the terminator are working properly.

I still don't know how I need to set the jumpers correctly on the SCA
adapter card - assuming, for the time being, that the card may work if
correctly configured. It's also been stated earlier in this thread NOT to
set jumpers on the HD itself for the SCSI ID number.

Incidentally, people are asking for some ridiculous prices for 50-pin SCSI
drives on eBay. "Legacy" apparently becomes "antique" at some point. I was
advised earlier on this forum that SCA drives were a workable option.
