hello

someone just gave me a dual 2.0 g5 but there is no video output from the card.

i'm wondering if it was commonly just the card that went bad (and where i can
get another one)
or was there something on the motherboard that was known to cause the no video
output problem?

also, i can't tell if it's pci, pci-e or pci-x from the info i can find about
this machine.

thanks

IIRC on G4 and earlier PowerPCs, a healthy PRAM battery was need for an initial
kick to the video circuitry. Don't know if this is applicable to the G5 range,
but it's a (comparatively) inexpensive "first-thing-to-check"
