I'm no expert on OSX/Unix things, but AFAIK this is normal: the boot
disk/partition is reported as "/" (I think it's called the "root level"),
other disks/partitions are reported inside the "/Volumes" directory (and
that's the place you interact with them using the Terminal, if you want).
