Summary: Public Kiosk Mode

Initial Comment:
A Public Kiosk Mode, where one would be able to lock out all the settings to
GAIM and prevent logs or passwords, as well as customizations from being saved.

In essence, to allow GAIM to be put on a public system that would allow users
to log into their favorite IM accounts without fear of their
usernames/passwords being compromised or saved. This would also keep a fresh
baseline GAIM setting in place that would prevent other users fromchanging GAIM
settings making it less user friendly.

In essence it would:

1) Lock out settings to all but the Admin
2) Prevent Usernames or Passwords from being saved
3) Prevent chat logs from being saved
4) Allow GAIM to safely be used by users on a public system.

so the -c command will 'lock down' the configuration/settings for the
particular GAIM install and also clear out all logs, usernames, and
passwords, essentially wiping it back to a 'clean slate' with each
execution of GAIM with the -c parameter?

If you could explain the -c parameter in further detail I would appreciate
it. :)

Why can't you do this already with the -c option?
