I think an auto-hide behavior for the buttons might make them easier to use. When each connection is still in the "connecting" state, they'll stay showing. When it's finished connecting, it'll hide. If the connection errors then the button can stay visible (so the user can figure out what to do) or maybe hide itself after some amount of time. As it is, it's hard to deal with errors and connections because the individual buttons are hard to use (I've seen a lot of people on IRC who were very confused about the buttons). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2007-04-17 15:40 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 Originator: NO As we are closing this tracker, please submit any feature request that is still valid to http://developer.pidgin.im. Sometimes it is there, sometimes not. For now i didn't understand why... The best solution would be more options for the the hole stuff so everybudy can set the look and feel the way he wants. and it would be nice to add a way to disable a account in the buddylist =) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2005-12-19 01:08 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 I'd suggest fully hiding the per-account selectors and only looking at them if you really need them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Mark Murawski (kobaz) Date: 2005-12-18 23:59 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=121055 The connection icons should be much smaller, there is no need to have such a huge icon for the connection/status list in the buddy list window. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=1384751&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
