Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Stephen Kennedy (steve9000) Assigned to: Richard Laager (rlaager) Summary: Logs Should Have a Timeout After Window Close Before Closing Initial Comment: Currently if I say 'bye' and close the window, then get a 'bye' reply, it gets logged as a separate conversation. Expected behaviour: After a conversation finishes, a user specified interval should pass (say 5 mins?) before the log is considered 'closed' and a new message will start a new log. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2007-04-17 15:42 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 Originator: NO As we are closing this tracker, please submit any feature request that is still valid to http://developer.pidgin.im. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ryan Hayle (hackel) Date: 2003-09-14 11:44 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=94667 I would like to second this, and mention annother annoying instance of the "new conversation" message. This line should not be written to the log when you simply open an IM window to someone, but only when you actually send the first message to them. Far too often I open a window, then decide I don't need to talk to that person, or open the wrong window by mistake, etc. These two fixes would make the logs much more readable. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=805197&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
