Hi all,
I'm back with this new email address. My old one got flooded with spam,
that's why I changed.
I don't know whether this has been discussed, but while was away I saw a
podcast on linux games and entertainment called lager. Not sure of the site,
but search for 'the linux link tech show' and you will find the games
podcast on the site. This made me wonder two things:
1. Even though you have to buy them, the linux games are open source. Wonder
what the chances are of some programmers making those games accessible for
blind people using linux, so that these games can be enjoyed with sighted
peers? If it was proposed that some blind programmers would help the
developers in building an accessible interface, maybe some blind linux users
and programmers would work together with the developers?
2. Most importantly, how about a blindgamers podcast? A podcast with chat,
news, and reviews of games? Have a listen to lager, and let's investigate
the possibility of something like that for audio gamers, but not as a
replacement for audyssey, more as a supplement, or basically we can record
game chats and put them up as podcasts for the rest of the community to
enjoy.
    Happy to be back!
Ari
