Hi Tom,
An interesting idea just came to me about Montezuma's Revenge.  After the 
game is finished you record yourself playing the game with the male 
character while recording the game sounds and your position.
So when someone plays the game with the female character, they could play 
against you.
You would have the game determine the distance you are at any second to the 
real player and adjust the position and volume of your character 
appropriately.
It would be like on-line play without the on-line connection!
It would probably take too much time  to do it but I thought it would make a 
great game better.
