Hi all, I have found an accessible Talking Chess Computer, from a company in the UK called Cobolt Systems, who say they manufacture products for the blind. You can order online, and look at their catalogue. Shipping, at least to SA, is not bad. They also sell the cool talking battleship. Their catalogue also has other interesting items like a talking colour detector, a talking pedometer with built-in radio, and even a talking skipping rope! When I emailed, the staff at Cobolt told me the chess is totally accessible by a blind person, and it's also not bad in price, about 34 pounds, better than the one I found from Maxi Aids, which is apparrently not accessible by totally blind players, and cost about $120 I think. This set though doesn't actually teach you the game though, in contrast to the Maxi Aids one. www.cobolt.co.uk Ari
