Hi Shaun, One problem with JFW and DOS games could be memory allocation. I think DOS games can only be run in the lower 64 k of memory. If another program like JFW takes over that memory first there may not be enough space for the DOS game to play. We use to add lines to the config.sys file back in the windows 98 days to take care of this but I do not know if it still works. Here is the info we used to have on our PCS site when a lot of people were still playing DOS games. Jaws has a dos window that allows Dos commands and other dos functions to be read. Here are the steps to open this DOS window.
1. Press Control plus Escape. 2. Press R for run. 3. Type C:\COMMAND and press enter 4. Press Insert Plus S till it says all. 5. If DOS commands still do not read, press Alt Plus Enter. This should open the Dos Window. 6. When finishing a MS Dos session, type EXIT. 7. Press the Alt Plus S command til you hear Highlighted. Extra Info You must also input a line into your config.sys file. That says as follows Switches= /c Use a editor such as notepad to do this and make sure it is saved as config.sys , ascii format and in the root dir such as c:\ if c is your primary drive. If you do not have a config.sys file you must create one. Use notepad again input switches=/c and save it as, config.sys, save as ascii and in the root dir. Then you must reboot after you are done. These instructions may not now work but they did back in 1998. Hope this helps.
