Hi Allan,
There are two types of adventures for an area. There are Guild Member
and free adventures. The Guild member adventures are different
adventures that can only played by Guild Members. The free adventures
can be played by everyone.
As to your second question not all of the adventures can be discovered
by simply playing the game in an area. Once you have completed all the
miner adventures in an area, for example helping the preast a the
church, you can then look at what other adventures are available for
that area. These tend to be major adventures which are much more
dificult to complete.
Here is an example of how you might play Hawklor.
You start out with the miner adventures of helping the priest at the
church rescue his friends. You then get hired to guard the salesman. You
then win the flask in the Stoneback In or whatever it is called.
After that let's assume you have completed all the miner adventures for
that area. Now, you are ready to take on the major adventure for that
area. During your miner adventures you probably heard about the Goblin
army forming at the Caves at Westwold. By going to other adventures for
this area while in Hawkllor you can then take on the Goblin's of
Westwold, kill Blalak, and win the first major adventure for the area.
Of course, you don't have to do this stuff in any real order. For
example, at first I traveled around and did several miner adventures in
all the towns got my skills up, and then started in to the major adventures.
Hth.
