Hi Dave,
Two things here. You will still be able to play the game without the the 
voices since the game is fully menu driven. However, there is a work 
around for the mci problem as well. You'll need to copy all four disks 
in to your Silent Steel install directory, and then fudge with the 
configuration files some to get it to ignore the mci problem and add the 
voices back in. Shaun Everest knows how to do this.
In fact, I could use his info aswell as I can't seam to find my install 
notes, but I can find my Silent Steel disks which took me forever to 
locate  after I moved my computer stuff  from the spare bedroom to the 
living room two years ago.
