I disagree on that one, since the free markit also gives rain to the best
advertizers and those who appeal to the lowest common denominator.
the original gta for example was not a particularly well put together game,
but got props for it's subject matter or and gang violence, and lots of
people bought it for that reason. Better entries have been produced in the
series, but still nothing sells quicker than controversy.
nasty as it sounds, there is also some mileage in appealing to low common
denominators too.
