Hi.
I just went through testing a load of games on win7 that I had installed.
1. did what I did with my win xp system as far as shades of doom.
adjusted sound buffers to as low as I can and all sounds on memmory.
One thing I can say is that panning is not as in depth even on stereo.
Firstly objects may move to your left and right but never behind the
way they slide round in xp.
its still a bit of a hit and miss on an object an enemy is much
better except once its right behind you then it sounds like its in
front and vice versa.
I did run the game thinking I'd just test and see but definately a difference.
barybary futsel.
I have aquired several games over the last few weeks.
barybary futsel does play but gives a lot of dotnet errors and other junk.
The inquisiter gives a form error or 2 but still plays.
The mississipi game gives an html error for html mshtml 1.2, but runs
however exits uncleanly.
the rs games client I assume its the latest version comes up for a
second then immediately exits again.
What worries me is the reasons I got my newer box were to partly have
extra performance in games.
and while some games like tactical battle are good it appears that xp
is the way still to play games even though thats being phased out.
This is a real shame as a lot of games run smoothly in 7.
