Hi Shaun: Makes sense. As it happens my ex and I also use to do something similar. We had an old desktop computer in the living room with XP on it that we used for games and other things. It wasn't on the Internet or anything like that, but was basically just there to play games on, run older applications, etc while we used our Windows 7 laptops for everything else. It worked out pretty well until the desktop bit the big one and I never got around to repairing it. However, I would definitely agree with someone keeping an XP computer around for older games and apps while having a new computer for using the Internet, e-mail, and playing newer games.
