Below, I'll try to give you all the info you need to get through the minefield. However, let me say first that its not really overly hard. Give it a good try (I mean spend half an hour or so) and you should be able to at least follow the truck. That
said, there are some parts that can be frustrating. Thus, I'll cover those first, and then will detail exactly how to get through. I want to reiterate: I got through on my first try in 20 minutes or so, it is doable.
Ok, the annoying bits. Firstly, you have to watch how close you get to the truck, and I mean carefully. If at any time you get within 50 or so meters (you collide with) the truck, it will explode. You then lose the ammo, and your guide. In order
for the truck to start off, you must get pretty close to it. Especially when you're not familiar with the mission, I suggest you drive forward at one quarter speed, and stop as soon as you here them say a second line. Immediately go full reverse for
a second or so. This will make sure that when the truck turns, it doesn't get to close to you. Note that on the higher difficulty levels, this is less relevant, as the truck will move past you faster. On to the second part. This is most important on
the lower levels. Especially on the first one, the truck is slower than you. If you don't give it time to get ahead, you'll crash in short order.
If you're still having trouble, here's a step-by-step guide:
I'm going to ignore the truck for this description. Its not important; you can get through the minefield just fine without it. If you want the ammo, either drive past it or wait for it to get way ahead of you before you start. Here we go: from
the ford, drive to coordinate 4,5. Turn east, drive to 8,5. Turn south, go to 8,3. Note that every time you turn, the minefield should be 50 meters in front of you (4,6 9,5). Turn south, and drive to 8,3. The river should be very close. Turn east,
drive to 18,3. Again, minefield directly ahead. Turn north, drive to 18,5 (I'm not certain about this one; turn when the minefield is 50 meters to your north). Turn east, and drive to coordinate 21. The exit from the minefield is directly north of
you.
